Burundi opposition leader jailed for

International donors have repeatedly hailed Burundi as a success story, even though corruption has been rife and political repression is ongoing. Now Burundi's opposition leader, the renowned former journalist Alexis Sinduhije, has been jailed for "insulting the president" after criticising government development policies.
